Sometimes buying a new car will be a purely personal preference based on the fact that you want a new vehicle, that is a particular colour or appearance, or that will be nicer to drive for one reason or another. However, sometimes it will be necessary to buy a new car because your current one has come to the end of its usable life and maintenance has simply become too expensive. You should only continue to drive a car while it is safe to do so, and while it is economical as well. When it becomes more expensive to repair a car than it is to replace it, that’s when you know your car is probably at the end of its lifespan. If you are unsure, check with a mechanic who will be able to advise you on how safe your vehicle is, and also how much of a lifespan it might have left. You can then use this information to make an informed decision.
