Running Air Conditioning in your Car

A lot of fuss is made of air conditioning, and many people will opt to just open their windows, rather than waste fuel. Fuel is needed to run air-conditioning, like it used to run any electronic element in your car, yet it must be said that it is not quite as expensive as people make out. Greater consumption can come from opening sunroofs and windows, and this is all down to wind resistance, while air conditioning can actually increase fuel in some vehicles by 3-4%. This is because of the amount of air flowing through ventilation help, rather than creating wind resistance. Hopefully this summer will be one of the hottest, and air conditioning is certainly going to come in handy, and you may find that your car doesn’t use up as much fuel from air conditioning as you first think.
